Women of the ELCA
Statement of Purpose
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ
and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts,
support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and actions, and promote healing and
wholeness in the church, the society and in the world.
Every lady who is a member of our church is automatically a member of W/ELCA. Each one
of you is invited to join us at our business meetings, special functions and all of our activities.
We have a wonderful, friendly group and hope you will be with us at the next meeting.
We have our general meetings in Jan, Mar, May, Sept, Nov. in Benson Hall at 11:30. In Feb is
our birthday party, Apr we make gifts for the “special treasures” (folks who are homebound).
June, July or Aug, there are no meetings. In Dec we have an advent party.
There is also a sewing group who meet most Thursdays at 9am in Benson Hall. They work on
many projects for various charities, locally and churchwide.
Lois Circle usually meets monthly at a restaurant for a social gathering.
Bible Study meets in members homes the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30.
