St. Matthews was founded in 1961, with a small but devoted group of Lutherans.  Since then, the church has continued to grow in ministries and service to others.  As the church continues in faith and dedication, we look forward to opportunities to be a blessing to others.

The St. Matthew's Lutheran Church is "Called by Christ to proclaim the Word, make disciples and serve the world."  More than fifty-five years ago, Reverend Robert E. Carl had a vision, shared it with others, and with zeal and faithfulness, St. Matthew's was born.  In 2011, it celebrated its 50th Anniversary with great music, lots of enthusiasm, thousands of hours of volunteering in the community and worship.

Today, St. Matthew's serves the community in many ways.  Each Christmas, it hosts an exceptional Live Nativity--a community favorite--that takes visitors through Bethlehem. In summer, we offer Vacation Bible School for all children in the community.
